Robyn Malaya is a law clerk based out of Los Angeles, California
Robyn Malaya earned her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School in May 2025. During law school, she clerked with Waterkotte Mullis Moreno & Garles, where she gained invaluable litigation and advocacy experience. Following graduation, she was excited to return to the firm full time to continue building her career. Robyn also gained experience clerking with Slater Slater Schulman, where she supported survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and with Loyola Law School’s Project for the Innocent, where she contributed to exoneration efforts for wrongfully convicted individuals.
Robyn’s path to becoming an attorney reflects her long-standing commitment to the legal profession. She began her career as a legal assistant, later earned her paralegal certification, and built years of experience in litigation support before pursuing law school. At Southwestern, she was actively involved in the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and the Negotiation Honors Program, where she was a quarterfinalist in the school’s intramural competition and represented Southwestern at Fordham University’s National Basketball Negotiation Competition in New York.
She is a recipient of the prestigious Wildman/Schumacher Scholarship—Southwestern’s most competitive merit-based award, granted through a highly selective process based on academic excellence, LSAT performance, recommendations, and other achievements. She was also recognized multiple times with awards from the Honorable Tom Bradley Scholarship Endowment Fund for her academic accomplishments. Robyn earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
